How to do the Executive Hangar run

Collect the keycards and seven compboards from Pyro's contested zones, time your arrival at the PYAM Executive Hangar, and claim a reward ship.

The Executive Hangar is a locked hangar in the Pyro system. Open it by slotting seven compboards, and you can claim one reward ship and keep it in game. You will also find rare FPS weapons and Grade A ship components inside.

The run takes you through three contested zone stations, Checkmate, Orbituary and Ruin Station, plus the asteroid bases where red keycards are printed. Expect other players along the way.

Where the hangar is

The hangar sits in a cluster of three asteroid bases called PYAM-EXHANG-0-1, close to the Pyro star. Only one of the three bases is active at a time, and they all share the same layout.

The hangar timer

The hangar runs on a fixed cycle. It is closed for 120 minutes and then open for 65 minutes. Five lights in the base's EVA area show where you are in the cycle:

  • While the hangar powers up, one red light turns green about every 24 minutes.
  • While it is open, one green light turns off about every 12 minutes.
  • After the last green light goes out, all five turn red and the cycle starts again.
  • You can only insert compboards while at least one light is green and none are red.

Doors, fuses and keycards

  • Fuse doors: put a fuse into the slot low on the door. Fuses are in red sparking boxes near the doors and respawn within minutes. The door stays open for roughly 30 to 60 seconds.
  • Red (Supervisor) keycards: printed only at two asteroid bases in Bloom's orbit, PYAM-SUPVISR-3-4 and PYAM-SUPVISR-3-5. They do not show up in the Starmap search, so pan and zoom the map to find them. The printers are in a closed room you reach by climbing boxes and going through a ceiling passage.
  • Blue (Security) keycards: Checkmate has four printers behind two fuse doors, which makes it the easiest source. Orbituary has two more behind a red door.
  • Crypt, Wasteland and Last Resort keycards: found in Ruin Station's Ghost Arena, each behind its own fuse door. They open doors inside the Ruin vault.
  • Every keycard printer has a 30 minute cooldown after use.

The seven compboards

  • Board 1: Checkmate, behind a fuse door and a red keycard door.
  • Boards 2 and 3: Checkmate's contested zone hangar, behind blue keycard doors.
  • Board 4: Orbituary, behind a fuse door, a red keycard door and a second fuse door.
  • Board 7: Orbituary's contested zone hangar, behind fuse doors, a red keycard door and two blue keycard doors.
  • Board 5: Ruin Station's vault, in the second room. You need the Crypt keycard, and the Board 5 printer is behind the Crypt door.
  • Board 6: Ruin Station's vault, in the room above the entry floor, past the vault door.

The Ruin Station vault timer

The vault door at Ruin Station is the only door on its own timer, and you cannot open it by hand. It opens for 1:30 every 22 minutes (open 1 minute 30 seconds, then closed 20 minutes 30 seconds). About 30 seconds before it opens, blue lights come on in the Ghost Arena. They turn bright white while the door is opening and open.

One minute is not long. Be at the vault door with your keycards before the blue lights come on, or you will wait another 20 and a half minutes.

The run, step by step

  1. Red keys: fly to PYAM-SUPVISR-3-4 and 3-5 and print red keycards. Start the 30 minute cooldown timer as soon as you print.
  2. Checkmate: grab blue keycards from the printers behind the fuse doors, then collect Boards 1, 2 and 3.
  3. Orbituary: collect Board 4 and Board 7. Board 7 needs a red keycard and two blue keycards.
  4. Ruin Station: collect the Crypt keycard in the Ghost Arena, wait for the vault to open, then collect Boards 5 and 6.
  5. Hangar: check the hangar timer, fly to the active PYAM-EXHANG-0-1 base, wait for at least one green light and no red lights, then insert all seven compboards.

Sync your timers when you arrive. If a patch or server reset shifts the cycle, the timers in Orvix Grid can be synced again in one tap.

Claiming your reward

Once the hangar opens, one player can claim the reward ship. Each ship comes in a military or stealth variant. Confirmed rewards are:

  • F7A Hornet Mk II Executive
  • F8C Lightning Executive
  • Corsair Executive
  • Cutlass Black Executive
  • Syulen Executive
  • RSI Meteor Executive
  • Mirai Guardian MX Wikelo War Special

After the ship is claimed at the ship terminal, the hangar door opens. Grab any components and weapons you want, then get out before it closes.

An alarm sounds before the hangar door closes. Any player or ship still inside the hangar or Engineering when it closes is killed or destroyed, and you cannot open the door from inside.

Bring a ship with cargo space. Lots of components and weapons spawn in the hangar, and your reward ship may not have room for all of them.

Staying alive

  • Close fuse doors behind you. They slow down anyone following you.
  • The hangar base has a service entrance that can let enemies in behind you, so keep someone watching it.
  • Run in a group if you can. One player can hold doors while others collect boards.
